Experience

Trained as a gas engineer and previously held CORGI Commercial Registration and Gas Safe commercial and domestic registration.

Has over 30 years’ experience in the heating and ventilation industry, progressing from installation engineer to site foreman, site supervisor and contracts manager, before joining Acivico as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager.

Previously owned a domestic heating company prior to joining Acivico full time, primarily carrying out the installation of heating boilers and systems in domestic properties.

Projects

Over the last 12 years at Acivico Paul has undertaken many projects.

Oversaw and project managed the Birmingham City Council infant school meals programme, involving the upgrade and installation of over 60 new kitchen facilities and associated plant to enable schools to provide hot meals for pupils.

Is and has been responsible for delivering the Birmingham City Council capital programme, comprising the installation of complete new boiler and heating system replacements in schools across the city, meeting very tight timescales and financial targets set by the client.

Also responsible for the delivery of mechanical services to the Birmingham City Council corporate landlord.

Notable projects have included;

Yardley Crem – replacement boilers to the BCC bereavement services.

Kingstanding and Handsworth wellbeing centre – replacement boiler to the BCC leisure services.

Stanville Primary School – Full replacement of heating boilers, distribution pipework, radiators and controls to current regulations.

Worlds end Primary School – Full replacement of 2no boiler rooms, plant and controls as well as full replacement of existing heating distribution and radiators. This install including new gas inlet pipework and new gas meter installation.

Currently project managing the full rewiring and controls upgrade to the Birmingham coroners court.
