Acivico Group is to invest more than £100,000 in its employee learning and development programme this year. The programme aims to drive professional development at all levels and is a core part of the consultancy’s ongoing organisational development strategy.

Designed to equip individuals and teams with the additional knowledge, skills and competencies they require to provide market-leading solutions for the built environment, Acivico’s learning and development programme will be delivered by more than 30 organisations comprising industry bodies including the Chartered Institute of Building, and CIBSE; specialist training organisations, and academia including Aston University, Birmingham City University and the University of Wolverhampton. Acivico will also be making full use of the apprenticeship levy.

Areas of focus will include: the development of leadership and management capabilities to drive performance improvements and support employee engagement, health and wellbeing; the delivery of net zero; investment in apprenticeships, graduate recruitment and work experience initiatives; support of safety, health, environmental and quality requirements including the achievement of ISO45001, and the provision of recognised professional learning interventions which include training, coaching, mentoring and secondments.

Marcus Passant, Group Director of People & Governance at Acivico, comments: “Acivico Group recognises that our learning and development plan is vital to the future success of our people and our business. It not only enables us to develop the capabilities of our existing team but also supports the recruitment and retention of talented individuals from across the construction sector.

“The size of the investment also underlines our commitment to driving ongoing improvements in the capabilities of our people and to ensuring that as a consultancy we can deliver an excellent service for our clients and ultimately support and transform communities across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region.”

Acivico Group employs 145 people and provides a range of design, building control, professional services and asset management services.
