University of Birmingham Teaching and Learning Building

This new build Teaching and Learning Building is purpose-built facility for the education disciplines at the heart of the Edgbaston campus.

The unique building provides a state-of-the-art teaching and social study environment to enhance the modern learning experience at the University of Birmingham.

The design possesses an IT and audio visual-rich learning centre, with excellent access for students with a diverse range of needs and preferences.

Acivico provided Building Control services that ensured Building Regulations were maintained during the construction of this facilities which included; a 500-seater lecture theatre, a 250-seater interactive lecture theatre, ten seminar rooms for 30 students at a time, and a new café.

The £19.4 million project was completed in January 2020.
