Acivico joined the staff and students of Victoria School in Birmingham, representatives from the local authorities and building contractor Balfour Beatty CSUK, to celebrate the opening of the school’s new educational facilities.
Project managed by Acivico and constructed by Balfour Beatty CSUK via the (CWM) Constructing West Midlands framework, the main contractor has built a single storey, 863 sqft extension to provide brand new facilities to staff and students of the school. The new extension accommodates five classrooms, three hygiene rooms, two WC clusters, ancillary circulation and equipment storage space, six storage rooms and a plant room.
Construction works commenced in July 2018 and was completed to budget over a 60 week period. The school remained live throughout the construction.
Kulvinder Singh, Senior Project Manager at Acivico said; “Providing modern and upgraded facilities for the students has a huge impact on their educational attainment. It was a pleasure to hear from the students of Victoria School how delighted they are with their new facilities. This has been a great project to work on and I hope the staff and students will continue to enjoy their new facilities for years to come”.
