Earlier in the year, five members of the Acivico Building Consultancy team passed the LABC Level 6 fire safety specialist examination.
This qualification has been introduced as a result of one of the key recommendations of the Hackitt Review. The government has stated their intention this will become a mandatory qualification, for building control surveyors approving or inspecting high rise residential building.
Head of Building Consultancy at Acivico, Richard Cymler, set a challenging target of 10 members of the Acivico team to achieve their level 6 fire safety specialist accreditation by the end of 2019. He is very proud to announce the team have achieved this target – with five more successful candidates achieving accreditation in recent weeks. This is a fantastic achievement, especially given there is a national pass rate of 70% for this challenging examination. Congratulations to Steve Hakim, Keith McBride, Kevin McNally, Phil Singh and Peter Boulonois, with the best of luck to those lined up for the next round of exams in the summer.
