Examples of acceptable qualifications for ‘Competent’ electricians who are not registered in a Competent Person scheme:
- City & Guilds 2382 Level 3 Certificate in the requirements of Electrical Installations
- City & Guilds 2381 Level 3 Certificate in the requirements of Electrical Installations
- City & Guilds 2391 Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
- This list is not exhaustive and other qualifications may be acceptable.
PLEASE NOTE: Upon satisfactory inspection, a Completion Certificate will be issued indicating we are not aware of a contravention of Building Regulations. This is not a certificate for the electrical work. Electrical certificates are issued under BS7671 by suitably qualified electricians.
PLEASE NOTE: The charge covers administration and the external costs incurred to undertake an electrical inspection ‘competent person’ authorised to certify the suitability of electrical work. It is a single payment, payable at the time of deposit of the application and is not refundable once an inspection has been undertaken.

Supervision of electrical work undertaken in isolation to a domestic extension/loft conversion or construction of a new dwelling. FEE PAYABLE £212.50 VAT £42.50 TOTAL PAYABLE £255.00
